February: Love is in the air!

Happy February!

I was just talking with a good friend and realized that the first month of 2014 is gone! There’s a lot that happens in February: Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day. What I hope you’d like to know is where you can hear great jazz by your favorite jazz singer! (Well at least this one!)

The first place you’ll see me this month is in the Annual Tulsa Gridiron February 7-8 at the Tulsa PAC in the Liddy Doenges theater. Showtime is at 8PM both nights. Tickets sell fast so be sure to buy early! Here’s more info about the Tulsa Gridiron:

gridiron 2014The 81st annual Tulsa Gridiron is Feb. 7-8 at the Tulsa PAC’s Liddy Doenges Theater. Titled “Government Ain’t Twerking: I’ll See Your Shutdown and Raise You the Debt Limit,” this year’s show will feature Julie Chin and Kathy Taylor as co-interlocutors with City Councilor Blake Ewing receiving the Roasting Ear Award. Help us raise scholarship funds for communications students by spending a night laughing and poking fun at local, state and national headlines.
Tickets can be purchased at the PAC box office or online at

After the Gridiron it’s Valentine’s Week! Looking for a cozy date night full of love songs? Come see me February 12 at Main Street Tavernmusic of love in the Rose District in Broken Arrow from 6pm-9pm. You can also catch me at Tallgrass Prairie Table in the Blue Dome District on February 13. Tallgrass is an exciting new restraurant with great food and great reviews.  I’ll be there from 8pm – 11pm.

On February 23 I’ll be at Bodean Seafood Restaurant from 7pm-10pm. It’s my first time playing at Bodean’s. They have jazz every Sunday night.  I’m happy to be there with Scott McQuade and Bill Crosby. We’ll have a jazzy good time!

So that’s February for me. I hope to see you at one or ALL of these events. As always, if you are at a show come up and say hello! I’d love to know that you made it.

As always, Stay Jazzy!!
